Please join the Technical Services Special Interest Group for our Summer Meeting on Monday, July 24th @ 2 PM at The Preservation Lab - Preservation Lab is a collaboration of the Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County and The University of Cincinnati Libraries. We will meet to tour the facility and have networking opportunities. We will meet by the Service Desk within the lobby of UC's Langsam Library. Preservation is on a secure floor, so we will all go down as a group. Food and beverages are prohibited in the Preservation Lab.

Parking: Metered parking is available on the street; MLK drive is the street closest to Langsam Library.  The Woodside garage is the parking garage attached to the Library. Parking rates are as follows: 2-2.5 hours - $8, 2.5-3 hours - $9, 3-24 hours - $10 (max). If you park in the Woodside Garage, proceed to the elevator and go to 400 to exit into the lobby of Langsam.

“The primary mission of the Preservation Lab is to preserve and conserve the collections of the Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County and the University of Cincinnati Libraries.  Information and examples of treatments for our parent institutions can be found at our Preservation Lab Treatment Documentation website.

The Preservation Lab’s secondary mission is to provide preservation consultation and conservation treatments to cultural heritage institutions that lack the resources or expertise within their organizations. Fees generated from this service assist with the Lab’s long-term sustainability.” – Source: The Preservation Lab website
